This is a story about a man walking in to one of Hillary Clinton's campaign offices with what looked like a bomb duct-taped to his chest, demanding to speak to Clinton about a need for mental health care. It turned out that his "bomb" was road flares with a separate device which was supposed to be a detonator.
This is outrageous. I'm sure Mrs. Clinton will immediately propose legislation to outlaw people using bombs, either hoax or real. This is necessary for the public good. Oh wait....
Actually, I wasn't sure when I read it if she'd move to ban duct tape or road flares. If it was up to me, I'd ban Democratic (sic) campaign offices. (That's supposed to be humor. Well, kinda, anyway.)
I did find it interesting that this guy worked on a campaign to stop police from giving people cheap object lessons in why they should lock their cars (and broke no laws to do so-there's no law against putting a piece of paper IN someone's car, I don't think) but he just gave Hillary an object lesson in one of the things that can happen when people who are desparate. Alternatively, I would not put it past her to have hired someone to do this (who she would later pardon, once in office), for the sole purpose of showing that people must be controlled. When she spins that to the public, however, it never occurs to the majority that because one wacko does something stupid does not mean that all of society must be treated like imbeciles. By that logic, ever since Chappaquiddick, all Democrats (sic) must be treated like murderers. Oh wait....
